When im not at work as an sso at an amazing little school on the EP i keep myself busy running our children around with all their sport and social commitments. Kane is a qualified electrician, avid outdoorsman, lover of all animals (except spiders) and master of the ol’ dad joke!

We live in Port Neill on the stunning Eyre Peninsula coastline and SALTY SANDS was the brain child of ours after wanting to offer a unique retreat for tourists to be able to come and experience Port Neill the way we like to enjoy it. We were lucky enough to be able to secure a piece of land at Carrow Wells, a local Port Neill beach 4km south of the town and one of our most favourite places in the whole world. Its taken us over 2 years to get here so we are so excited to be finally be offering this retreat in the heart of the Eyre Peninsula and our backyard.

Salty Sands Retreats endeavors to provide travellers and tourists alike with a high-class ‘glamping’ experience, through unique and memorable accommodation. We hope to create a standalone concept that will draw a new style of tourist, one of whom will be educated on the importance of preserving and protecting our beautiful coastline.

We endeavour to work together with local initiatives to help ensure our coastal ecosystems are protected. We aim to attract environmentally conscious tourists with our sustainable ethos. We support this by purchasing vintage homewares and upcycling wooden furniture where we can. We have added the luxury of a fully sustainable eco-friendly ensuite with compostable toilet and solar hot water shower. We are diligent in maintaining the area around the campsite, by ensuring all waste is taken care of and respected by all Salty Sand’ers!
